Purpose: The Hopkins Population Center (HPC) offers seed funding for pilot research projects. The HPC is a University-wide center whose goals are to promote exemplary cross-disciplinary research in population and health. Schools that are currently represented in the HPC include Public Health, Medicine, Arts and Sciences, and Nursing. The purpose of the pilot research program is to encourage the development of innovative and interdisciplinary pilot research that has the potential to lead to a larger NIH or other funded award applications. Priority is given to interdivisional collaborations that bring together researchers from more than one school within the University, involvement of new investigators, and the integration of biomedical and social science research topics.
Eligibility: The principal investigator must be a faculty associate of the Hopkins Population Center. Other faculty, graduate students or post-docs may be co-investigators but are not eligible to be PIs. Funding: Awards are made for up to $10,000.
